Voltaire is a fabulous, modern barn conversion set in the heart of one of the loveliest places in rural England. From the top of the drive, you can see the sea beyond the rolling countryside. It is a place lost in time, designed to relieve you of the stresses of modern life, allowing you to enjoy the perfect surroundings.

Voltaire was designed with luxury and comfort in mind and as you walk in you immediately sense that. Not only does it look beautiful with heated limestone floors, big squashy sofas and silk cushions but there is plenty of space to relax and unwind in front of the warm ribbon fire. Every detail has been meticulously thought out and designed. On a practical note, you have access to wireless Broadband, a plasma screen and Sky.

The locally made kitchen and dining area is light and airy, with polished stone surfaces and stainless steel appliances. It is equipped to the high standard you would expect of such a property and the beautiful design makes it a pleasure to cook for yourself. Alternatively you can have delicious food made for you by one of several renowned local chefs.

Voltaire's six bedrooms are very special. En suite, the bedrooms have sumptuous, super king-sized beds or twin beds can be made available. The linen is of the best quality Egyptian cotton, as are the pillows, towels and bath robes. The bathrooms are luxuriously appointed with limestone floors, large baths with stone surrounds, Italian chrome taps and great water pressure, allowing you to totally de-stress. With that in mind we provide you with a complimentary range of Aromatherapy Associates products.

Double glass doors from the living area lead you to the landscaped garden which has various seating areas. For al fresco dining there is a table and chairs for 12, gas barbecue and patio heaters.

From the sunken terrace, you have your own private indoor swimming pool. After your swim you can use the steam room or sauna, or simply lie on the loungers around the pool. Spa treatments with one of our professional therapists can be booked.

Look out from the south-facing windows to fields and a beautiful, enclosed garden, including an intimate sunken area complete with an outside fireplace and cedar hot tub. All this allows you to enjoy the warm summer evenings, even after the sun has gone down.
